Due to the increasing importance of fluorescence microscopy non-fluorescent aqueous mounting media that delay fluorescence fading have been introduced.
PVA-NPD is the medium of choice for AMCA or Cascade blue-labeled tissue sections and cell cultures. Either PVA-NPD or PVA-DABCO
are recommended for FITC, TRITC, DTAF, Cy-3 labeled sections or cell cultures.
