CHIROBIOTIC™ Chiral HPLC Columns
CHIROBIOTIC phases, based on covalently bonded macrocyclic glycoproteins to
high purity silica gel, offer stability while retaining essential components
for chiral recognition. Useful for LC-MS chiral applications and when reversed-phase
solvents (methanol/water, acetonitrile/water) are preferred over normal phase
solvents.
CYCLOBOND™ Chiral HPLC Columns
These bonded cyclodextrin stationary phases have the ability to form inclusion
complexes, and allow for chemical separations by selectively including a wide
variety of organic molecules from solution into the cyclodextrin cavity. CYCLOBOND
I columns are ß-cyclodextrin bonded and CYCLOBOND II are ?-cyclodextrin
bonded.
Copper Ligand Exchange Chiral HPLC Columns
Using the copper ligand concept, this phase resolves hydroxy acids like lactic,
malic, tartaric and mandelic acids. The CLC phase can also resolve amino acids,
other amines, and bi-functional racemates like amino alcohols by the same mechanism.
In theory, any analyte that can complete the coordination with the copper ion
can be resolved.
Protein Based Chiral HPLC Columns
Chiral-AGP phase offers a1-acid glycoprotein as chiral selector, Chiral-CBH
phase offers cellobiohydrolase as chiral selector, and Chiral-HSA phase offers
human serum albumin as chiral selector - immobilized on porous 5 µ spherical
silica particles, and typically used in reversed-phase mode.
Polycyclic Amine Polymer Chiral HPLC Columns
(P-CAP, P-CAP-DP)
These chiral phases offer a new bonding technology, primarily used in normal
phase, for the separation of racemic compounds. Structural conformation and
hydrogen bonding interactions are the driving mechanisms. Separations, including
preparative, have been run in a variety of solvents including pure acetone,
heptane/ethanol, dichloromethane/methanol and ethyl acetate.
