For luminescence techniques, there is an increasing need for reliable and comparable data,
quantification, and eventually standardization. This holds especially for applications in strongly
regulated areas like e.g. medical diagnostics.

In close cooperation between Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (Berlin, Germany)
and Sigma-Aldrich, the Kit Spectral Fluorescence Standards was developed.

Calibration with our kit rules out instrumentation as major source of variability and improves comparability of fluorescence measurements across instruments and over time. It is a calibration tool for the determination and control of the relative spectral responsivity of fluorescence instruments,
which is

- simple
- flexible
- traceable

The Kit is optimized for spectrofluorometers and can be employed for a broad variety of measurement
geometries. With proper consideration of the underlying measurement principle, it can be adapted to the calibration of other types of fluorescence instruments.
