GDNF Family with Receptors

Primary receptor interactions are shown by solid line arrows. Weaker or secondary interactions are shown by dashed line arrows. Each of the four coreceptors can complex with Ret receptor tyrosine kinase (center), believed to be the primary transmembrane subunit for signal transduction. Ligand binding may also generate Ret-independent signaling via a Src kinase associated with lipid rafts in the cell membrane.
