Follow these simple steps and see how easy YFG Search is to use!
Enter your search term:
Search by common name, gene symbol, alternate symbol, TRC number, homologs, accession numbers, RefSeq or gene ID number.

You will be sent to a gene search results page, similar to the below:
At the top of the page, you will see a list of Functions and Pathways that are matched to your search terms. Clicking on a Function or Pathway brings up a more elaborate gene list.
On the left hand side, you will see a list of refinements. You may refine your search results by product category, species, function, or pathway. Clicking on the refinement of your choice will filter the gene list accordingly, displaying only those genes fitting the criteria.
In the actual search results table, clicking on the gene symbol takes you to the Gene and Product Information page.
On the Gene and Product Information page, you will find more detailed gene information at the top, followed by the related Sigma products. These products include:
- Antibodies
- Proteins
- RNAi (shRNA and siRNA)
- Small Molecules
- Assay Kits
