Mounting Media - For Histology and Cytology

Sigma now offers four new mounting media to satisfy the needs of all histologic and cytologic mounting applications.

Product No. C 0612
A permanent aqueous medium designed specifically for the permanent preservation of horseradish peroxidase and alkaline phosphatase stained tissue sections. Cells or tissue sections properly mounted with Crystal Mount exhibit enhanced contrast and maintain their original clarity and color strength.

Product No. G 0918
A non-glycerol based aqueous mounting medium designed to preserve fluorescence labeling in tissue sections. Specifically formulated without glycerol to avoid negative effects on phycobiliprotein based detection systems, Gel Mount is the ideal medium for tissues treated with fluorescent tracers.

Product No. C 0487
A permanent mounting medium for general histological and cytological use. Clarion is environmentally safe - free from toluene, xylene, benzene and petroleum pollutants, which prevents degradation of the refractive index due to solvent evaporation. This assures outstanding optical character, while eliminating evaporation over long-term storage periods.

A permanent mounting medium designed specifically for in situ hydridization applications following the use of BC-50 Red Counterstain. Like Crystal Mount, Situ Mount provides high clarity results and excellent chromagen-preserving capabilities
