Pure-Pac™ Returnable Containers

Products available in Pure-Pac containers

From Research to Production scale volumes, our Stainless Steel Pure-Pac fleet ensures your Sigma-Aldrich solvents maintain their high level of purity and dryness through a positive pressure, closed transfer design.

Cylinder Return Program
Returnable Container FAQs

Adaptability, environmental issues, increasing operating costs and the need to find a solution for the inefficiencies of the 4L glass bottles make the Pure-Pac an outstanding alternative to traditional solvent packaging. There are no empty bottles to rinse and dispose of and the larger batch size reduces the Quality Control burden.

Safety Features
The Pure-Pac containers will enhance operator safety when handling and dispensing large volumes of high purity solvents.

  • Rugged stainless steel construction reduces the likelihood of hazards associated with spills or bottle breakages
  • Dispensing under a positive pressure, closed system virtually eliminates exposure to hazardous solvent vapors
  • To avoid over-pressurization, each container has a built-in pressure relief for the utmost in safety
  • To monitor the container pressure, a easy to read pressure gauge is located atop of the Pure-Pac
  • FM approval (Pure-Pac I)

As these are highly specialized, product dedicated pressure rated containers, a deposit is required upon purchase. Each container is stamped with a unique serial number and a detailed individual history is maintained. Sigma-Aldrich has a complete maintenance program to ensure that each customer receives a deposit container in the best possible condition. Because the Pure-Pac container is highly specialized, we ask they be returned immediately after they have been emptied.
