Capabilities
Dual–labeled fluorogenic probes and Molecular Beacons incorporate a 5'–reporter dye and a 3'–quencher within the probe design. Sigma–Genosys can provide the traditional TAMRA quencher for dual-labeled fluorogenic probes and DABCYL quencher for Molecular Beacons.
However, a new family of quenchers is now available that has been optimized for FRET – the Black Hole Quencher™. Sigma–Genosys is licensed to sell BHQ™ labeled oligos for optimum quenching efficiency. Each BHQ has been designed to work with specific fluorophores. BHQ is suitable for both dual–labeled fluorogenic probes and Molecular Beacons.

Expected Yields

Guaranteed Quality
Oligos are routinely checked for length, purity, and composition. Our global quality control capabilities include MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry, electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS), capillary electrophoresis (CE), and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE). In addition, the signal–to–background ratio is measured against a target sequence for all Molecular Beacons. If you are dissatisfied and report an oligo problem within 30 days of order receipt, we will gladly remake your oligo free of charge or provide a credit for the purchase amount.
All orders are shipped with a Quality Assurance document that includes measured yields, melting temperature, MW and µg/OD with every oligo. Oligos in tubes are accompanied by an extra vial label for your records.
