Biosciences, a member of the Sigma-Aldrich group, has announced the completion
of a 1 million USD expansion at its Lenexa, KS site, to enhance capacity
for media development and small-scale manufacture of both catalog and
custom media formulations.
Staffed by a team of fifty scientists, the 5,603 sq. ft. facility features
a pilot manufacturing laboratory, virology and bioreactor suites, general
laboratories and a QC resource. The building also houses a new unit for
the business's rapid custom media manufacturing service, imMEDIAte
ADVANTAGE™*.
