The formulation and delivery of biopharmaceuticals have played a crucial role in the development and commercialization of pharmaceutical products throughout the past decade. Due to the growing concern of transmittable spongiform encephalophies (TSE's), from animal based products, SAFC is developing non-animal alternatives for use in the formulation and delivery of active pharmaceutical ingredients. SAFC is also developing novel products including biopolymers for products that present special delivery challenges.
