Biopolymers

Polymer Manufacturing

Biopolymers are large molecules made of repeating units. These molecules generally are available in abundance from natural sources, have little or no toxicity, and are water soluble in certain molecular weight ranges. Examples of biopolymers are polyamino acids, proteins, polysaccharides, and oligonucleotides.

SAFC has a wide selection of biopolymers for therapeutic applications. These molecules are analytically characterized using state of the art analytical techniques like GPC-MALS. SAFC can also provide quality assurance support for pharmaceutical usage including cGMP manufacturing, method and process validation, stability studies, and DMF filing.
