Metals by ICP or AA

Analysis of metals is accomplished using inductively coupled plasma (ICP) or atomic adsorption (AA) instrumentation. Prior to analysis, samples first undergo a digestion process which strips away the matrix, leaving the elemental content in an inorganic acid compatible with the instrumentation. Example US EPA methods include 200.7, 6010, 6020, 7470, 7471, ILM05.4, IO-3.2, and IO-3.4.
