Phycotoxins, marine biotoxins produced by certain species of marine algae such as saxitoxin or domoic acid can accumulate in fish and marine invertebrates such as mussels. To assure safety of sea food, several new regulations have entered into force such as EC regulation No 853/2004 and amendments No 2074/2005 and No 15/2011 that define maximum allowed levels and recommend LC-MS or LC-MS/MS for as a detection method.
For the accurate calibration of these methods, we provide certified reference materials (CRMs) manufactured by the National Research Council of Canada (NRC).
