Tenax® Porous Polymer Adsorbents

Tenax Porous Polymers, based on 2,6-diphenyl-p-phenylene oxide, is widely used as an adsorbent in both air collection and purge trap applications. Its unique structure provides alternate and desirable adsorption/desorption characteristics compared to other porous polymers.

The optimal temperature for Tenax porous polymer materials depends on the application. For example, thermal desorption unit (TDU) tubes are typically desorbed at 300 °C, and purge traps containing Tenax typically use a 180 °C desorption temperature.
