| Gas sampling bulbs and bags are used to sample permanent gases that cannot be trapped onto an adsorbent. Sampling bulbs are made of glass and are equipped with 2 stopcock valves for sample introduction. Tedlar® bags are a less fragile alternative to glass containers - Tedlar is an inert and low-permeating polyvinylfluoride (PVC) material manufactured by Dupont®. Glass Bulbs and Tedlar bags include a septum to take sample aliquots for analysis or to introduce compounds, e.g. internal standards, into the sample. Impingers & Bubblers allow the purging of an air sample through an adsorbent solution. An impinger has a glass tip while a bubbler is equipped with a frit to disperse the air sample into the adsorbent solution. |
