Gel Filtration Chromatography

Gel Filtration Chromatography or Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC) separates large molecules according to differences in size. Small analytes that can diffuse into the pores of the matrix are retained longer while larger molecules that cannot enter the pores elute more rapidly.
This section focuses on gel filtration columns that are used to isolate proteins and peptides. For other size exclusion columns in the TSKgel column line, click here.
