Supporting Electrolytes for Electrochemistry

Within the range of electroanalytical methods, specially polarograhic and voltammetric methods have gained more and more importance. The range of application has increased considerably and includes trace analysis of metals and organic compounds, as well as environmental analytic chemistry, pharmacy and medicine. Supporting electrolytes are extensively employed in many areas of electrochemistry. Tetraalkylammonium salts are very suitable because of their excellent solubility characteristics in most organic solvents.

Fluka offers specially purified tetraalkylammoniium salts, tested for the absence of impurities, which would lead to undesirable residual currents.
