 Antiobesity Drugs - The health implications of the near-epidemic obesity problem have made research aimed at treating obesity a hot topic.
Sibutramine, one of a few drugs approved for long-term treatment of obesity, is a chiral compound. Because the (R) and (S) enantiomers have opposing effects, it is a perfect example of the importance of chiral HPLC to pharmaceutical and clinical analysts. |
