90035 DCLS Agar No. 2 for microbiology Desoxycholate Citrate Lactose Sucrose Agar No. 2 D.C.L.S. Agar is used as a selective medium for the isolation of Shigella and Salmonella. Also useful for isolation of Vibrio cholera. The addition of fermentable carbohydrate increases the usefulness of the medium because non-pathogenic sucrose-fermenting organisms may be recognised by their red colonies, e.g. some Proteus, Serratia, Enterobacter species.
E5399 Endo agar for microbiology
70137 ENDO Agar (Base) for microbiology   A selective medium for the differentiation of lactose fermenting and lactose non-fermenting intestinal organisms.
85766 m-Endo Agar LES for microbiology Membrane Endo Agar LES m-Endo Agar LES can be used for the enumeration of coliforms in water using the Membrane filter technique for coliform enumeration. This method is more reliable and precise than MPN multiple test. It follows the two step membrane filter procedure using Lauryl Sulfate Broth (Cat. No. 17349) as a preliminary enrichment, resulting in higher coliform counts.
54232 Lactose TTC Agar with Tergitol-7 for microbiology TTC-Tergitol-7 Agar m-Tergitol-7 Agar with Meat Extract
62087 Levine EMB Agar for microbiology Eosin methylene Blue Lactose Agar according to Levine Levine’s Eosin Methylene Blue Agar Isolation and differentiation of E. coli and Enterobacter, and identification of Candida albicans according to Levine.
70143 MacConkey Agar No 1 for microbiology   A differential plating medium recommended for the detection and isolation of coliforms and intestinal pathogens from stool, urine, water and other material.
M8302 MacConkey Agar with Crystal violet, Sodium chloride and 0.15% Bile salts for microbiology   A differential media recommended for the selection and recovery of Enterobacteriaceae.
51405 MacConkey-Agar (without salt) for microbiology MacConkey-Agar (without salt and crystal violet) A differential medium which restricts the swarming of most Proteus species. Useful for culturing urine specimens which may contain large number of Proteus species.
70144 MacConkey Broth for microbiology   A presumptive medium for the detection of the coliform group in water and milk.
16377 MacConkey Broth Purple for microbiology MacConkey Bromocresol purple Broth MacConkey G Broth MacConkey Broth Purple is a differential medium used for the detection of coliforms in water samples and milk examination by MPN technique. It is a modification of the classic medium, where neutral red is replaced by a less aggressive indicator, according European Pharmacopoeia. It is also recommended by ISO Committee under the specification ISO 9308-2:1990.
63014 MacConkey MUG Agar for microbiology   For the isolation of Salmonella, Shigella and coliform bacteria, in particular E. coli, from diverse material.
Bile salts and crystal violet extensively inhibit the Gram-positive flora. The presence of lactose and neutral red indicate lactose-positive colonies from which E. coli can be identified by fluorescence in the UV.
84368 Salmonella Agar according to Oenöz for microbiology OENOEZ Agar For the cultivation of Salmonella acc. to Oenöz (1986).
84369 Salmonella Chromogen Agar for microbiology   A differential diagnostic agar for the detection of Salmonella in food and clinical material. A modification of the formulation described by Rambach (1990).
01993 Salmonella Chromogen Agar Set for microbiology   A differential diagnostic agar for the detection of Salmonella in food and clinical material.
86455 Tergitol-7 Agar for microbiology   Selective medium for the detection of coliform bacteria and for early detection of E. coli in water analysis. For the detection of fecal contamination in foods according to Mossel(1962).
70189 Violet Red Bile Glucose Agar for microbiology VRBG-Agar A selective medium for the isolation and enumeration of enterobacteria.
17215 WL Differential Agar for microbiology WLD Agar Wallerstein Differential Agar For selective isolation and enumeration of bacteria encountered in breweries and industrial fermentations.
95586 XLD Agar for microbiology Xylose Lysine Deoxycholate Agar For the isolation and differentiation of pathogenic enterobacteriaceae in particular the species Shigella and Salmonella acc. to Taylor (1965), Taylor and Harris (1965, 1967) and Taylor and Schelhart (1967).
