The VersaFlash system and cartridge designs allow you to stack multiple cartridges on top of each other to extend the column length for more efficient separations or conduct dual-mode separations. To stack cartridges, simply place the cartridge stacking sleeve and connector on top of the first cartridge, then place the second cartridge into the sleeve and place the stacked carts into the VersaFlash station, adjusting the upper sealing platen height as necessary. Cartridge stacking is also used when loading a sample into a solid sample cartridge to elute the sample from the solid sample cartridge onto the purification cartridge. Besides stacking the same size cartridge, the VersaFlash system allows you to stack different sized cartridges to customize your purification scheme. Cartridge combinations from 40 to 40 mm, 40 to 80 mm, 80 to 80 mm, and 80 to 110 mm can be stacked using the VersaFlash stacking connectors.
