Emerging Biotech Convergence
The theme of this year's Knowledge for Growth is Emerging Biotech Convergence. More and more industry sectors are tapping into the field of biotechnology. The development of innovative biotech medicines and vaccines are examples of the successful convergence between the biotech sector and the pharmaceutical industry. In addition to that biotechnology has an increasing impact on innovations in diagnostics, personalised medicine, medical equipment and ICT in healthcare, but also in the sectors of energy, food & feed, environment and agriculture. Knowledge for Growth will therefore focus on these converging technologies.
