Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of immunization with inhibin DNA vaccine delivered by attenuated Salmonella choleraesuis on ovarian responses and fertility in cross-bred buffaloes. A total of 134 cross-bred buffaloes were divided into four groups: groups T1 (nxa0=xa034), T2 (nxa0=xa035) and T3 (nxa0=xa031) were nasal immunized twice a day with 10xa0ml of 1xa0×xa010(10) xa0CFU/ml of the C501 (pVAX-asd-IS) vaccine for 5, 3 and 1xa0day, respectively. Group C (nxa0=xa034) was nasal immunized with 10xa0ml PBS for 5xa0days. All animals were immunized twice with an interval of 14xa0days and administered with 200xa0μg of a GnRH analogue on day 28, 0.5xa0mg PGF2α on day 35 and 200xa0μg of the same GnRH analogue on day 37. TAI was performed at 18 and 24xa0hr after the second GnRH treatment.
