Culture Medium
DMEM + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Subculture Routine
Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:3 i.e. seeding at 4x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C.
Cell Line Description
Ethyl nitrosaurea induced tumour cell line. Neuronal and glial cells are useful for research into the distribution of neurotransmitter synthesis and brain specific antigens among nerve and glia. Morphology significantly affected when grown in serum free media.
