Culture Medium
DMEM + 2mM glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS)
Subculture Routine
Maintain cultures between 3-9x100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37°C. These cells require mouse macrophage feeder layers upon resuscitation
Cell Line Description
The antibody recognises the glycoprotein 2BII and labels both the whole cell surface and also the flagella. Binding is lost after acid hydrolysis or de-glycosylation of 2BII. AFRC MAC 5 antibody shows similar fine specificity and properties to AFRC MAC 3 and 4.
