Tie (tyrosine kinase with Ig and EGF homology domains) receptors Tie-1 and Tie-2 are receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) family members with unique structural characteristics that involve their two Ig-like, three EGF-like and three fibronectin III-like motifs in the extracellular domain. They also have a split tyrosine kinase domain in the cytoplasmic region. They are expressed primarily on endothelial cells and hematopoietic progenitors. Tie-1 and Tie-2 are thought to play critical roles in angiogenesis and hematopoiesis. Tie-1 is related to endothelial cell differentiation and maintenance of endothelium integrity.
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in phosphate buffered saline.
