Components

Papaic digest of soyabean meal 5 g/1110 mL;
Sodium chloride 8 g/1110 mL;
Monopotassium phosphate 1.6 g/1110 mL;
Magnesium chloride anhydrous 18.7 g/l (is equivalent to 40 g/1110 mL Magnesium chloride hexahydrate);
Malachite Green 0.04 g/1110 ml

Application

Used as a selective enrichment medium for the isolation of Salmonella species from food and environmental specimens.

Reconstitution

Suspend 30.0 g in 1 liter distilled water. Heat gently if necessary to dissolve the medium completely. Dispense as desired into tubes and sterilize by autoclaving at 115 °C for 15 minutes.
