General description

Ovalbumin (OVA) is the main component of egg white proteins in hens. OVA stiμates IgE-mediated hypersensitivity responses in individuals with egg allergy. The protein has also been used to study structure-function relationships in allergens². Thus, Monoclonal Anti-Chicken Egg Albumin (Ovalbumin) antibody can be a useful tool for the analysis of egg albumin function in mediating food allergies. The product is specific for chicken egg albumin and also reacts with turkey egg albumin. However, the antibody does not react with serum albumin derived from chicken, turkey, human, bovine, pig, donkey, goat, sheep, horse, dog, cat, guinea pig, rabbit, rat, mouse, and pigeon.
