pFLAG-CMV™-2 is a shuttle vector for Escherichia coli and mammalian cells that is used for transient intracellular expression of N-terminal Met-FLAG® fusion proteins in mammalian cells. Transcription of FLAG®-fusion constructs is driven by the promoter-regulatory region of human cytomegalovirus. The vector contains bacterial and SV40 origins of replication, which results in optimal replication in host cells expressing the SV40 large T antigen, such as COS cells.
