Description
Application
Used in denaturing (urea) IEF and two-dimensional electrophoresis.1 Helps facilitate extrusion of the IEF capillary gels from the tubes.2 Used extensively with immobilized pH gradient (IPG) gels.3 Concentrations between 2-4% (v/v) are typically used in an IEF gel.
Caution
May develop turbidity or sediment during storage. A clear liquid can be obtained on heating to 40°C.
