Description

Immunogen

synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 136-150 of human AK1.

General description

Human adenylate kinase isoenzyme 1 (AK1) regulates cellular energy homeostasis. Studies have reported that neuronal AK1 expression, stimulated by AbetA (42), increases abnormal tau phosphorylation and subsequently causes tau-induced neurodegeneration. Rabbit anti-AK1 (136-150) binds to human AK1 (136-150).

Physical form

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.2, containing 15 mM sodium azide.

Application

Rabbit anti-AK1 (136-150) can be used for western blot (1:500 -1:2,000) and indirect immunofluorescence assays.

Yale Center for High Throughput Cell Biology IF-tested antibodies. Each antibody is tested by immunofluorescence against HUVEC cells using the Yale HTCB IF protocol. To learn more about the Sigma Life Science and Yale Center for High Throughput Cell Biology partnership, visit sigma.com/htcb-if.
