FITC-BSA

Specificity

The purified IgG fraction of antiserum is adsorbed to remove any antibodies to BSA and then conjugated to alkaline phosphatase. The conjugate may be used for detection of FITC labeled moieties and for visualization of immunofluorescence by light microscopy.

Physical form

Solution in 0.05 M Tris buffer, containing 1% BSA, 50% glycerol and 15 mM sodium azide

Application

2% paraformaldhyde fixed paraffin embedded human rectal sections were stained with alkaline phosphatase-conjugated rabbit anti-FITC at 1:100.

Anti-FITC-Alkaline Phosphatase antibody is suitable for use in fluorescence in situ hybridization at 1:100 or 1:200 dilutions.

General description

FITC (fluorescein isothiocyanate) is a fluorescent dye that is often used to label antibodies in immunofluorescent assays. As FITC does not interfere with the biological action of proteins, it can be used as a hapten to label different proteins. FITC conjugation mainly facilitates the accurate detection and localization of proteins in immunological techniques
Anti-FITC-Alkaline Phosphatase antibody is specific for free FITC and FITC conjugated to various biomolecules such as proteins, oligonucleotides, and nucleic acids.
