L-aspartic acid (Asp) conjugated to KLH.

The antibody reacts specifically with L-aspartate (L-aspartic acid), a major neurotransmitter in the central nervous system, when conjugated with glutaraldehyde. When using the antibody at the recommended working dilution in indirect and competitive ELISA, weak cross-reaction may be obtained with D-aspartate, L-glutamate, D-glutamate, L-glutamine, L-asparagine, β-alanine, glycine, 5-aminovaleric acid, γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA), Gly-Asp, Gly-Gly and Asp-Glu.
