Synonym: BMPR-II

Purchase

Description

Analysis Note

Recombinant human bone morphogenetic receptor II/Fc does not have BMP anatagonist activity. Its intended use is as a control for anti-BMPR-II.

Physical form

Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in phosphate buffered saline.

Biochem/physiol Actions

BMP Receptor II/Fc is one of the five mammalian type II receptors for the TGF-β superfamily of ligands. It binds BMP-2, BMP-4, and BMP-7 weakly in the absence of type I receptor. Binding can be facilitated by the presence of BMP type I receptor. Human and murine bone morphogenetic protein receptor II demonstrates 97% homology.
