Biotin conjugated Monoclonal Anti-Avidin may be used for amplification of biotin-avidin reactions (e.g., immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization).

Monoclonal Anti-Avidin-Biotin antibody produced in mouse may be used for ELISA at a working dilution of 1:150,000; for dot blot at a working dilution of 1:20,000; for immunohistochemistry at a working dilution of 1:2000. It was used for FISH analysis of chromosomes X and 8 in lymphocytes isolated from women.

General description

The antibody binds to the avidin molecule without interfering with the biotin-binding reaction. The product reacts specifically with egg white avidin, ExtrAvidin and their complexes formed with biotin. The antibody shows no cross-reaction with streptavidin.
