Description

Packaging

Package size based on protein content.

Unit Definition

One unit will catalyze the reduction of 1.0 μmole of cytochrome c by NADPH per min at pH 7.7 at 30 °C.

Physical form

Solution in 30 mM potassium phosphate buffer, pH 7.7, and 0.1 mM EDTA containing 50%(v/v) glycerol.

Biochem/physiol Actions

The enzyme catalyses electron transfer to cytochrome P450. This system plays a major role in detoxification of drugs and xenobiotics, activation of carcinogens, and metabolism of endogenous substrates such as steroids.
