D3159 is soluble in water at 5 mg per mL. Add slowly to stirring water and then heat gently (60° C or less) or dissolve overnight at 4° C

DNA has been stored successfully for several months at 4°C, pH 7.5 - 8, in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA. The addition of a bacteriostatic agent is not necessary.
