Application

Monoclonal Anti-DP2 antibody produced in mouse is suitable for immunoblot assay at a working concentration of 0.5 - 1 μg/mL using a whole extract of transfected 293T (human embryonal kidney) cells expressing DP2, microarray and immunoprecipitation using native and denatured DP2. It may be used for electrophoretic mobility shift assay (EMSA).

Biochem/physiol Actions

DPs or dimerization partners (DP1 and DP2) form heterodimers along with E2 transcription factors. These active E2F transcriptional complexes bind to and regulate the transcription of several genes involved in control of the cell cycle regulation and DNA replication. Antibodies reacting specifically with DP2 are useful for the study of control of transcription in intracellular pathways, and its essential roles during developmental and pathological processes.
