What buffer do you use to swell the Deoxyribonucleic acid−cellulose double-stranded from calf thymus DNA (DNA Cellulose) resin, Product D8515?
DNA-Cellulose can be swollen in 10 mM tris, 1 mM tetrasodium EDTA buffer (pH 7.9).  One gram of DNA-Cellulose will swell to approximately 4 mL of wet resin.
How do you store Deoxyribonucleic acid−cellulose double-stranded from calf thymus DNA (DNA Cellulose) resin, Product D8515, once it is swollen?
DNA-Cellulose can be stored swollen in 10 mM tris, 1 mM tetrasodium EDTA buffer (pH 7.5 - 8) for several months at 4°C (without a bacteriostat).
Can Deoxyribonucleic acid−cellulose double-stranded from calf thymus DNA (DNA Cellulose), Product D8515, be exposed to high salt?
DNA-Cellulose is stable in up to 5M NaCl.  DNA-Cellulose should not be exposed to solutions of NaOH, since NaOH denatures DNA from double-stranded to single-stranded.
How do you regenerate the column using Deoxyribonucleic acid−cellulose double-stranded from calf thymus DNA (DNA Cellulose), Product D8515?
A suggested procedure for the regeneration of a DNA-Cellulose column would be to use 5 - 10 column volumes of 2M NaCl in buffer, followed by the same volume of buffer alone.

We have not tested Product D8515, Deoxyribonucleic acid-cellulose double-stranded from calf thymus DNA for this application.
