2′-Deoxyguanosine 5′-monophosphate (dGMP) is used as a substrate of guanylate kinase(s) (EC 184.108.40.206) to form dGDP which upon phosphorylation to dGTP supports DNA biosynthesis. dGMP is use to study physiochemical characteristics of guanine based molecules.
