Application

Recommended for use as a cell culture substratum at 1-5 μg/cm2 or 0.5-50 μg/ml. Optimal concentration depends on cell type as well as the application or research objectives.

Potentially useful for cell types including: epithelial cells, mesenchymal cells, neuronal cells, fibroblasts, neural crest cells, endothelial cells.

Bovine plasma fibronectin has been shown to stimulate the proliferation of rat osteoblasts in vitro; to induce odontoblast polarization and to regulae the differentiation of human dental pulp cells into odontoblasts.

Caution

Vortexing, excessive agitation, repeated freezing and thawing of reconstituted fibronectin are not recommended.
