Other Notes

Antibody adsorbed with human IgG.

Immunogen

Purified rabbit IgG

Preparation Note

Adsorbed to reduce background staining with human samples.

Specificity

Binds all rabbit Igs.

Physical form

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, with 15 mM sodium azide as a preservative.

Application

Anti-Rabbit IgG (whole molecule)-FITC antibody may be used for immunofluorescent staining of human peripheral blood lymphocytes at a working dilution of 1:160. A minimum working dilution of 1:160 may be used on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded human tonsil sections and Anti-Human IgG as the primary antibody. This antibody was used for immunefluorescence of Alfalfa root and leaf sections stained with anti-Medicago sativa GSK-3-like kinase primary antibody. For immunostaining of human testis cryosections, a dilution of 1:200 was used with N-cadherin primary antibody.

General description

IgG antibody subtype is the most abundant serum immunoglobulins of the immune system. It is secreted by B cells and is found in blood and extracellular fluids and provides protection from infections caused by bacteria, fungi and viruses. Maternal IgG is transferred to fetus through the placenta that is vital for immune defence of the neonate against infections
Anti-Rabbit IgG (whole molecule)-FITC antibody is specific for rabbit IgG and is conjugated to fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC). No cross reaction with human IgG is observed.
