Releases β(1→3)-, β(1→4)-, and β(1→6)-linked galactose from the non-reducing end of complex oligosaccharides.

Preparation Note

Produced from a mixture of enzymes from Streptococcus pneumonia and Xanthamonas sp.

Unit Definition

One unit will hydrolyze 1 μmole of p-nitrophenyl β-D-galactopyranoside per min at pH 5.0 at 37 °C.
