Application

Suitable for use in determining glutamine by measuring ammonia formation. Contains glutamic decarboxylase which destroys some of the glutamate as it is formed.

Unit Definition

One unit will deaminate 1.0 μmole of L-glutamine per min at pH 4.9 at 37 °C.
