recombinant human IL-4.

General description

Interleukin-4 also refers as T cell growth factor-2 (TCGF-2), mast cell growth factor-2 (MCGF-2) or B cell stimulatory factor-1 (BSF-1) is a 12-20 kD complex glycoprotein produced by a subset of activated T cells. It has a pivotal role in the growth and differentiation of immunologically competent cells. Monoclonal anti-Interleukin-4 antibody can be used for neutralizing the biological activity of human IL-4 (rhIL-4). Mouse anti-Interleukin-4 antibody shows no cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse IL-4.

Physical form

Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in phosphate buffered saline with 5% trehalose.

Specificity

The antibody will neutralize the biological activity of recombinant human IL-4. The antibody shows no cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse IL-4.

Preparation Note

Purified using protein A.

Application

Monoclonal anti-Interleukin-4 antibody can be used in indirect ELISA and western blotting.
