Contains all of the reagents necessary to perform DNA ligation reactions. Blunt-end ligations are less efficient than sticky-end ligations. Polyethylene glycol (PEG 8000) facilitates blunt-end ligations.
Application
The DNA Ligation Kit is used to join fragments of DNA during basic biotechnology experiments such as protein expression, mutagenesis, gene anyalysis and structure-function relationships. The kit contains all of the reagents necessary to have consistent ligations (buffer, ATP, T4 DNA ligase, Polyethylene Glycol 8000).
