Description

Compatibility

112 antibodies spotted in 16 sub-arrays, each containing duplicate spots of the antibodies, as well as duplicate positive control spots (a monoclonal antibody that recognizes Cy3 and Cy5) and several negative controls. Antibodies are spotted in high density to ensure strong signals. Antibodies are also available individually from Sigma. Refer to Antibody List for specific catalog number(s).

Cell or tissue extracts, blood plasma or serum

Features and Benefits

• Accurate and robust protein expression profiling against 112 p53 pathway-related antibodies.
• Establish protein expression profile comparisons of two samples (test vs. reference).
• Proprietary slide treatment minimizes background staining.

Other Notes

The p53 pathways antibody is designed for studying protein expression in cell or tissue extracts. The array contains 112 different antibodies spotted in duplicate on a nitrocellulose-coated glass slide. The antibodies are specific for proteins known to be involved in p53 pathways.

Please note that featured antibody content is lot specific and is subject to change.

Physical form

Nitrocellulose glass slide, proprietary treatment to minimize background staining

Application

Antibody arrays identify changes in protein expression levels, interactions and modifications of expressed proteins. Applications include, but are not limited to sample response to external treatments (e.g., starvation, addition of growth factors, drugs / biomolecules), comparison of different cell or tissue samples (clinical specimens, heart, brain, lung, etc.), gene silencing (RNAi), off-target effects, and biomarker screening. The fluorescence intensity detected on an array with each antibody depends on this binding affinity; therefore, signal intensity comparison can be performed only within the same antibody/antigen system and not between different antibodies.
