General description

Raf-1 is a serine/threonine kinase that is activated by tyrosine kinases and functions upstream of the MAPK-signaling pathway. Raf-1 inhibits Ras signaling and subsequently modulates cell proliferation and development. c-Raf expression has been linked to the pathogenesis of lung carcinoma
In immunoblotting, anti-phospho-c-Raf pSer621 antibody is specific for human c-Raf that is phosphorylated on serine 621. The antibody is expected to detect mouse and rat c-Raf (100% homologous), but has not been tested for cross-reactivity.

Physical form

Solution in Dulbecco′s phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.3, with 1.0 mg/mL BSA (IgG and protease free) and 0.05% sodium azide.


Anti-phospho-c-Raf pSer621 antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for use in western blot (0.1-1.0 μg/mL using HEK293 cells overexpressing c-Raf), and microarray.
