Description

Immunogen

unique peptide corresponding to a portion of human SLP-76 (SH2 [Src Homology 2] domain-leukocyte protein of 76 kDa).

General description

SLP-76 (SH2 domain-containing leukocyte phosphoprotein) is a 76kD protein that is expressed mainly in cells of hematopoietic origin. It facilitates TCR signalling and has a pivotal role in TCR-induced tyrosine phosphorylation of phospholipase Cγ, inositol phosphate accumulation, Ca2+ mobilization, and ras activation. Monoclonal anti-SLP-76 antibody can be used in immunoprecipitation. Mouse anti-SLP-76 antibody reacts specifically with human SLP-76 protein.

Physical form

Solution of ~0.5 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.1% sodium azide.

Preparation Note

Purified from tissue culture supernatant using Protein G.

Application

Monoclonal anti-SLP-76 antibody can be used in western blotting to detect SLP-76 protein using Jurkat cell lysate.
