Description
General description
Stromal Cell-Derived Factor-1α (SDF-1α) is a recently discovered protein belonging to the α-chemokine (C-X-C) family of cytokines. Recombinant mouse SDF-1α is a 7.9 kDa protein containing 68 amino acids residues.
Reconstitution
Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Reconstitution in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. The solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers.
Physical form
Lyophilized from 10 mM acetic acid. The protein may appear as a haze or film, which is difficult to see at the bottom of the vial.
