Immunogen

recombinant human vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 3 (Flt-4) extracellular domain expressed in NSO cells.

General description

Vascular endothelial growth factors receptors (VEGF Rs) are receptor tyrosine kinases that bind to VEGF that plays important role in embryonic vasculogenesis, angiogenesis and homeostasis. VEGF R3 has the ability to form heterodimers with VEGF R1 and VEGF R2. VEGF R3 binds the ligands VEGF C and VEGF D and regulates survival, normal lymphangiogenesis and development of cardiovascular system. The VEGF R3 activation results in the activation of MAPK, PI3K, FAK and Src kinase pathways. The biological roles of VEGF R3 play a key role in growth of human tumor xenografts, promotion of the angiogenesis of breast, prostate, bladder cancers and neuroblastoma tumors. Anti-Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor 3 recognizes human VEGF R3. The antibody shows approximately 15% cross reactivity with recombinant mouse VEGF R3 and 2% cross reactivity with recombinant human VEGF R1.

Physical form

Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in phosphate buffered saline and 5% trehalose.

Application

Anti-Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor 3 antibody may be used for immunoblotting at a working concentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/ml. For immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded tissue sections, a concentration of ~15 μg/ml may be used. For ELISA, a working antibody concentration of 0.5-1.0 μg/ml is recommended.
